Volunteers and Donations Needed!

The St. Michael Octoberfest would not be the annual success it is without the generosity of people volunteering their time. Help is always needed and very much welcome with the kids’ games, chicken dinner, snack stand, tickets, trash cleanup, etc. Just not able to fit one more thing in your schedule but still want to lend a hand? No problem! Donations are always welcome whether it be an item for the auction, time spent helping out at the Kids’ Midway Games, or monetary to help off-set an expense.

Over 200 pies are needed for the chicken dinner. Sign up sheets are available inside the church entrance. If you can lend a hand, please add your name and how many pies you are able to donate. Even one pie makes a difference!

The Wine Garden

IMAG0504 (640x383)The Wine Garden is sure to bring out the true feeling of fall.  This area is surrounded by a rustic white picket fence containing round tables and chairs.  The wine is provided by a local wine expert and includes a hand selected assortment of whites and reds.  We are confident this area of the Octoberfest will make even the newest wine drinker inspired to have a glass.

Welcome to the St. Michael Parish 38th Annual Octoberfest!

Our festival includes everything you need to celebrate fall: food, friends, fun, and non-stop entertainment! This family friendly event offers something for everyone. Our list of entertainment and bands is quite impressive including the music of the Borderline Band on Saturday night and Hashtag 80 on Sunday night.  For the kids, there is an endless array of fun things to do – face painting with Lindsey,  games, Professor Longhair, and new this year–laser tag (children ages 6 and under must accompanied by an adult) and a dunk tank (weather permitting)! And back again, Blessing of the Pets on Sunday at 4:15p.m. All pets must be leashed or in a carrier and their humans are responsible for cleaning up after them. No livestock, creepy crawlies, or reptiles except turtles–they’re okay.

For the adults, there’s the quaint wine garden and beer tent and the musical talents of the Tamburitzans and The Gary Moore Band…and a dunk tank (weather permitting) as well as laser tag!  Back again, too, is the annual 5K Run/Walk for Octoberfest on Saturday.  This event is growing in popularity! Registration begins at 8:00a.m. and the race starts at 9:00a.m. Back this year, too, is a cornhole/bags tournament on Sunday that tosses off at 12:30p.m.

Don’t forget the live and silent auctions on Saturday beginning at 10:30a.m.  If you like sports memorabilia, tools, gift baskets, electronics, or unusual collectors items, you’ll find them at the auction. And, be sure to enter the raffles for a chance to win a patio set complete with fire pit and area rug, an iPad Pro, and other fabulous prizes.

The Family Style Chicken Dinner on Sunday from 11:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. is just one example of the fantastic food you will enjoy at our festival. Carryouts are also available from 11:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.

Come out and spend the day or weekend with us celebrating Fall at the Octoberfest!!!
